Sonic UI Animation

For this project I had to redesign the interface for an already existing app and make it better. I chose the Sonic app because it's one that I use frequently and I liked the overall look. My issue with the app is that I have a lot of food allergies and I could never find the information I needed to make sure that what I was eating was safe for me. So my goal for this project was to add two different nutritional information sections. One under the item itself with detailed nutritional information based off the toppings and customizations made, as well as the allergen and ingredient information. The second is a chart in the checkout menu that has the total nutritional information for the entire order, breaking down each item that was added to the cart. Both added sections would be toggled so that they don't have to always be viewed, but can be easily accessed for individuals that need easy access to such information. I then created my own screens for the interface, changing it from the original app and making it more cartoony and colorful. I then created an animation in after effects to demonstrate the use of the app, and how easy it would be to access the nutritional information when making an order. The first screen demonstrates the lack of nutritional information in the already existing app. The first video is a demo or an advertisement for the new app, and the last video is a walk-through of how to use the app, and where to find the information.
